copenhagen fashion week: johanna pihl

oh, bloody hell.  sometimes i’ve no idea how we will make it through the many, many shows we’ve yet to discuss, particularly as they’re now pouring in like so many leaks in a rainstorm.  anyway, although i’m trying not to take on new designers, johanna pihl’s s/s 2013 collection at copenhagen fashion week was so alluring, i really had no choice, don’t you agree?

anyway, though as we’ve learned is predictably the case with cfw designers, there wasn’t much information out there; however, jp on fashion speed did inform us that “(w)inner of last year’s Young Fashion Industry Award Johanna Pihl debuted Copenhagen Fashion Week with her first RTW collection. Jumping on the sportswear trend she played with paneling and cut-outs utilizing different fabrics throughout the entire collection. The mostly monochromatic collection with pops of crimson red and cobalt blue is the perfect gear for all the bad-ass chicks out there.”

and rolling stone magazine briefly chimed in that “(a)ccents like lattice-work fingerless gloves added a modern ‘moto chic’ feel to the very sleek dresses and separates in black, white and blue.”
